French Canyon Loop Trip

A visit to Humphrey's Basin and French Canyon provides opportunities for fishing, climbing and lots of magificent wide-open vistas of the Glacier Divide and the surrounding peaks. Entry via North Lake and Piute Pass is the quickest and easiest and exit over Pine Creek Pass avoids toiling up the canyon from that side. Cross-country rambling below towering Mt. Humphrey's offers a number of possible routes to reach upper French Canyon directly.
