Mount Brewer

A visit to beautiful Lake Reflection is a highlight to a visit to the Kings-Kern Divide region. The trip can be made even better by an ascent of Mt. Brewer (13,570 ft.)which like Mt. Goddard is isolated from the main Sierra Crest and has wonderful panoramic views from its summit. From East Lake on the trail to Lake Reflection, a Class 2 route up Ouzel Creek provides convenient access.

The route goes up the ridge in the left center of the photo to reach the main south ridge which is then followed to the summit.

North Guard from the summit of Brewer. Offering more challenging climbing, this adjacent peak can be most easily ascended via one of the chutes leading up to the west ridge.
