Welcome to High Sierra Highlights!

Having spent over fifty years enjoying the wonders of the High Sierra, I'd like to share some photos and stories with those of you who also love the "Range of Light". I grew up spending summers at Echo Lake which is located above the southwestern rim of Lake Tahoe near the entrance to the Desolation Wilderness Area in El Dorado National Forest. Every summer our family would make the happy drive north from Pasadena along Highway 395 beneath the towering ramparts of the Southern Sierra. Naturally, besides our own beloved Echo back country, we also began exploring this part of the Sierra as well. Please join me in a photographic tour of some of my favorites!
